Shopping for skirt ideas

I have some Liberty of London fabric that I want to make a skirt out of. It's a busy print, and I think that a whole skirt would be too much. I'm currently thinking of a pale green cotton base with print appliques on it. I would have a lot more freedom in the skirt design if I found a nice brown cotton to go with it, as the light/dark balance wouldn't be so much of an issue.

I love the pockets on this second one, and how the fabric is gathered in between the pockets on the front. It goes unsaid that I love the applique on it as well.

Ok, I've talked myself into finding a brown cotton for the skirt. Any good online sources? I'll try Hancocks-Paducah first.

Uuunnnnnghghh, I LOVE ANTHROPOLOGIE. I'm gonna go hide my new credit card now.

I love your dog, btw. I'm trying to talk my husband into a standard poodle, but he says not until we "move" and are "more stable." Pbbbht.
